Training: Climate Change Negotiations at the College of Europe
On Monday, 8 July 2019 our co-founder Leonardo Massai will be delivering a climate change training at the College of Europe, as part of its Programme on the five dimensions of the Energy Union.
In particular, the lecture will address the following matters:
- Background on the climate regime (UNFCCC, Kyoto Protocol and Copenhagen Accord)
- The shaping of the Paris Agreement (multilateral process and actors, main elements)
- Highlights of COP24 and Paris Agreement rulebook, including what is left unresolved
- Mitigation and adaptation:
- main tools and instruments
- the case of REDD+
- carbon market
